After a crash course in video editing from a friend and colleague, Owen gained experience from editing numerous self-created music videos. This has led to numerous commercial commissions for project editing, including Bath Tourism, Pegasus Life and Amir Khan’s Gloves Gym. Additionally, Owen has undertaken several private commissions, including a video journal of an expedition to Antarctica.

Owen also worked with internationally noted jazz musician Andy Sheppard and his partner to create a new cut of the classic silent film Metropolis. He was granted permission to edit the fully restored version of the film to accompany Andy’s original score, which premiered at Bristol Jazz & Blues Festival in March 2017.

Many moons ago, Owen used to be a technician in a recording studio; the most important lesson he learned from this time was “don’t touch any of the flashing buttons”, advice which resonates across just about every field of work.
